Position Title : Category Manager - Food and Non Food
Location : Islamabad
We’re looking for a highly driven and motivated Category Manager - Food and Non Food for our team in Pakistan. The role is based in Pakistan and will report into Head of New Verticals.
Develop and execute an optimal category strategy, pricing, promotions, range, availability, and cost prices to expand both sales and margin
Ensure Pandamart categories have the best assortment and competitive prices in the market through local and international sourcing
Build a strong supplier base, negotiate and renegotiate optimal commercial terms, secure supplier advertising spend, and ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods
Work to develop new sourcing and extended range to ensure we have high quality, good value goods available to our customers year-round
Define the promotion strategy under consideration of the commercial and seasonal calendar.
Execute data-driven decision-making to drive the category growth
Provide insights to the marketing and supply chain teams to forecast demand and ensure consistent supply
Partner with supply chain team to manage inventory levels and wastage
Work cross functionally with Tech / Product, Supply Chain, Sales Operations and Marketing to deliver strategic projects
Area of influence : In a dedicated team, Category Manager will monitor, review, analyze and adjust the development of relevant key financial figures and value drivers and will be the SPOC for all questions regarding their respective category clusters :

Bachelor’s degree in any field from a reputable university
At least 3 years of progressive experience in roles of similar capacity, with direct experience in merchandising or buying, and category management
Possess a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact revenue, margin, shrinkage and other supplier income
Superb business judgment with a track record of making successful negotiations, building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Able to work autonomously in a highly demanding and ambiguous environment
Highly numerate and comfortable giving insights drawn from data
