The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Senior Finance Manager. They will primarily ensure vendors, consultants, and employees get paid for services and products rendered.
They will review and process invoices after due diligence, answer the inquiries, reconcile statements, and process and maintain the payment ledger.
The AP Specialist will also assist in any or all the facets of Finance, including but not limited to Payroll, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Expense Management, Cash Management, Withholding Taxes, Internal controls,
Fixed Assets Accounting.
Responsibilities :
Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Handling accounts payable for consultants, experts, vendors & employees
Analyzing workflow processes
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors / experts / employees
Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Processing due invoices for payments
Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
Generate Payables reports and other reports as requested
Other tasks as assigned
Qualification and Desired Skills :
Accounting Degree or background, with minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
Experience with QuickBooks, Oracle or SAP is a plus
Strong MSOffice skills : MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is mandatory
