Your Responsibilities : Job Purpose

Job Purpose

This role incumbent will lead the finance partner function of XXX manufacturing site, be the primary finance interface to the business, provide decision support, simplification and a key influencer of the SLT and full site organization to deliver continuous improvement and cost optimization to meet site targets.

The role provides financial and budgetary forecasts, monitoring and reporting on KPIs using a financial early warning system.

Also Ensuring compliance in collaboration with SMAS, all control activities prescribed by ICFW and providing information internal and external auditors related to the Site.

  • Providing Insight : Derive management insight on the basis of standard management reports and knowledge of the business.
  • Bring strategic insight actively to the decision making and analysis table

  • Counseling, Challenging and Influencing : Enable discussion and decision on options to improve performance, focused on priorities, based on understanding of risks, opportunities and feasibility.
  • Providing Decision Support : Value added decision and planning support when needed by the business, taking account of the wider GMS and GSK enterprise context
  • Provide clear support and interactions to successfully drive and embed the One P&L culture and performance as well as enhancement of financial acumen across the business
  • Execute strategic projects as required
  • Key site interface and role model One Finance, with central finance services
  • Accountable for monthly business performance reporting sign offs with SMAS and planning / forecasting
  • Key Responsibilities Key deliverables & responsibilities of the role

  • Lead finance partner to value stream operations and support functions providing embedded decision support, financial and option analysis and deep insight of performance delivery and resource allocations
  • Ensure proactive and effective coordination between site finance and finance services, above country finance etc
  • Lead key parts of monthly reporting sign offs with SMAS and provide commentary on key variances / business drivers and any actions required.
  • Sign off site income statement and balance sheet and forecast / plans to both GMS and as part of One P&L
  • Own financial planning and forecast update cycles
  • Lead implementation of site financial governance and other adhoc presentation creation
  • Create non-standard financial analysis and trends to support decision making as required
  • Execute simplification projects and implementation of best practices
  • Lead embedding full financial ownership across the value streams and functions
  • Accountable for risk identification and manage financial governance in support of delivering business strategies
  • Full ownership to deliver site financial and business performance delivery of both operating profit and working capital targets
  • Sign off quarterly judgment report preparation and year-end management certification,
  • Manage corporate approvals (e.g. appropriate tax and transfer pricing, compliance with corporate development, investment authorisation and treasury requirements)

  • Own implementation of working capital, treasury and tax strategies in consultation with Corporate and above site finance as required
  • Be point of contact for the business with financial issues and proactively support embedding of target operating model
  • Take joint responsibility and accountability for decisions concerning overall business and be first point of contact for business colleagues with all financial issues
  • Effectively communicate within the business and value streams and influence to realise opportunities, mitigate risks and achieve timely resolution of issues

  • Finance / business degree or professional accountancy qualification
  • Basic qualifications :

    ACCA, CA, CIMA, MSc Finance Minimum 5 years + PQE experience as Financial Analyst / Financial Partner

  • Experience and understanding of continuous improvement tools (e.g., GPS) to ensure continuous improvement methods are constantly applied
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
