We’re looking for a highly-driven and motivated Assistant Manager Culinary for our team in Pakistan. If you are looking for a place where you can gain hands-on exposure and have a direct impact, then this may be the place for you!

The ideal candidate will have a track record as a significant individual contributor comfortable working independently, whilst working closely with the management team.

This role will be based in Pakistan and will report to the Concepts Development Manager .

Responsibilities :

  • Creation of New Products from scratch by finding cuisine Gaps in the market
  • Create menu guidelines for digital brands to ensure brands can be executed at high quality at scale and localised to meet the needs of the market
  • Drive R&D innovation to improve quality of the products while reducing complexity and preparation time
  • Work with key suppliers and partners to ensure purchasing and inventory management is coordinated to ensure the highest quality and best COGS
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to work independently
  • Well versed with Microsoft Office Applications, like Excel or Google equivalents
  • Proactive and able to lead independent projects
  • Develop recipes and portion specifications in accordance with data, consumer tastes, nutritional needs, product specifications, ease of preparation and established procedures and budgetary constraints
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards and operating procedures
  • Implement cost control initiatives, minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted and approved food and labour costs
  • Analyze and track KPIs to improve foodpanda brands’ performance Propose new strategies, plan and set adequate timelines for execution
  • Review, refine and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
  • Be fully engaged in guest feedback loop, and ensure support for the continuous improvement process; work with the APAC team, local operations and the Data analysis team to implement adjustments as required
  • Requirements :

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in food and beverage management ; ideally within a fast-paced, growing, quick-service restaurant (QSR) / fast casual environment or multi-unit hospitality industry, hotel or restaurants .
  • Degree in Culinary science or trade related commercial cookery certificate
  • Good leadership and motivational skill with a can-do attitude
  • Positive working attitudes and independent leader as well as collaborative
  • Able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Good collaborator and team player with strong abilities to prioritize
  • Experience working in a start-up environment a plus
  • Focused on delivering results at the highest quality possible
