The Role : Commercial Strategy Project Manager

The Team : The commercial strategy team transforms insights into performance-driving action to continuously improve commercial execution for the benefit of our employees and customers.

We connect and unite our partners across Market Intelligence to accelerate progress toward our common goals.

The Impact : The project manager will support multiple areas of S&P Global Market Intelligence including, but not limited to, commercial, operations, legal and product.

The PM thrives on, and excels in, creative problem solving, organization, and effective communication. Projects will range and include multiple different functions which will require understanding of the company and how each part of MI impact one another.

  • Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate effective project team and cross-functional interactions.
  • Create projects, determine project teams, identify goals, and map out deliverables to drive projects to successful execution.
  • Construct and maintain cross-functional integrated project plans, including project timelines.
  • Perform project risk assessments to ensure team deliverables are being appropriately tracked and met. This could include the development of any necessary risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and potentially escalate project issues to ensure effective resolution in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate the impact of project activities / deliverables across the team portfolio and where there may be points of synergy or conflict.
  • Ensure clear communication across all stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure and support effective project related decision making.
  • Develop and implement metrics for project performance.
  • Work closely with project team leaders, cross functional team members and functional leadership.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with project team members and functional partners.
  • What We’re Looking For :

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at verbal and written communication. Must clearly communicate complex ideas to varied audiences that include commercial, product, technology, legal, and senior leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, and BOX
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supporting commercial or sales operations role within a large organization
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Night shift availability
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, etc)
  • 20 - Professional (EEO-2 Job Categories-United States of America), OPRTON202.1 - Middle Professional Tier I (EEO Job Group)
