Objectives of the Position :

  • Responsible for the strategic business development and operation management of local distributors within the country
  • Deliver the financial and non-financial target set for local distributors
  • Maintain distributors’ knowledge and skills up to BASF standards
  • Ensure compliant management and business practices across distributors
  • Areas of Responsibility :

  • Develop and execute the development of go-to-market and distributor strategies
  • Analyse market data to identify trends and drive business development
  • Steer and monitor the local distributors’ performance based on agreed targets clear and business rules
  • Work closely with Industry Leads on key account management for small- and medium-sized customers
  • Strengthen and cultivate high-level relationship with key distributors
  • Train distributors to maintain a standard in product knowledge, relevant marketing concepts and sales skills
  • Key contact for problem escalation and resolution with distributors and internal stakeholders
  • Share the market intelligence with the industry teams and SBUs and foster information exchange of the market trends and analytic
  • Ensure the business practices of all distributors adhering to all the laws, regulations and compliance standards
  • Job Requirements :

  • At least 8 years of commercial experience in new business development and key account management
  • At least 5 years of direct distributor management experience or distributor work experience
  • Preferably with business experience across different industries
