Purpose

The InfoSec Auditor works with the Information Security Department to support all Afiniti lines of business as well as all products and services built or offered by Afiniti in identifying and recommending specific measures to improve Afiniti’s overall security posture and compliance to contractual and standards requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of business and system processes.
  • Establish efficient and effective IS audit procedures.
  • Plan, implement, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems and networks.
  • Examine internal controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk and develop remediation strategies.
  • Review, evaluate and test application controls.
  • Perform regular audit testing and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in the change management process.
  • Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities, and create counteractive strategies to protect the network.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance on identified security and control risks.
  • Communicate complex technical issues in simplified terms to the relevant staff.
  • The ideal candidate will have

  • In-depth industry knowledge regarding best practices, policies, current regulations, and technology.
  • Industry certifications (such as CISA, CISM, LA ISO 27001).
  • Working knowledge of audit methodologies and security assessment tools;
  • Working experience with software development methodologies and practices;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Great awareness of cyber security trends and hacking techniques.
  • Strong organizational and proactive planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow through on action items.
  • Ability to drive team to key milestones.
  • A confident, collaborative manner when dealing with conflict.
  • Team player with positive, results-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment across multiple departments.
  • Experience working in a compliance role in a complex organization.
  • Understanding of information systems and networking diagrams
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet firm deadlines;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with cross functional teams
  • Good team player and manage various stakeholders
  • Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Cybersecurity). A combination of education and years of experience may be substituted and will be evaluated on an individual basis.
