Know our team

Nutrition International’s Operations unit is a dedicated team of program implementation experts who are responsible for contributing to the overall management of NI’s field operations in Asia and Africa.

This is a national position that is responsible provide operational and technical support for Nutrition International’s adolescent and women’s health and nutrition programs in Pakistan.

This position will support the National Program Officer, MNCHAN to plan, manage, monitor and report on an adolescent girls’ health and nutrition program.

The program officer will work closely with the Government of Pakistan at national, provincial and district levels and other key stakeholders to ensure government’s engagement and leadership.

About you

You are a mid-level public health professional and nutrition expert with extensive experience in program management or have held such roles in the past and have experience in working with development organizations in managing and implementing multiple projects to ensure high quality programming in Pakistan .

You have an excellent ability to develop internal and external partnerships and have collaborated with NGOs, UN agencies etc.

or similar organizations working on public health systems and Adolescent and Women’s Health and nutrition related programs.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible to support the National Program Officer, MNCHAN, Pakistan with the following :

Develop biannual and annual implementation plans in consultation with AWHN team

Technical assurance and quality improvement of ongoing and planned program activities, as per global and national guidelines

Support the design and review of training modules and curricula

Facilitate procurement of IFA supplies for adolescent girls.

Support the design of the Behaviour Change Interventions (BCI) strategy and interventions for creating awareness in liaison with Government partners and drawing on the advice of RO’s Regional Advisor for BCI

Coordinate and manage program activities including timely budget disbursements drawing on the advice of the NPO as needed.

Develop linkages and effective working relationships with Ministry of Health and education, development partners at national, provincial and district level with specific focus on adolescent nutrition issues.

Develop monitoring and reporting plans for adolescent nutrition activities in coordination with NPO, RTA and Regional M & R team.
