The role
is full of autonomy and creativity, and we are looking for a self-starter who has experience building communities. In this role, you will work closely with Pakistan Acumen Academy’s leadership team and Acumen Academy's global teams as you understand our work needs and build a range of solutions to help build both reach and depth of impact.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
Program Operations Supervise the day-to-day operations and logistics of running the leadership programs in Pakistan; support in the execution of programs and events, resolving operational and technical challenges;
in some cases, co-creating activities.Recruitment Strategy and Execution Support design and execution of recruitment strategy to recruit Fellows and Accelerator participants, including outreach to the Foundry, peer organizations and digital and social media platformsData Collection & QA Design and document all data relevant for evaluating program effectiveness, including managing QA, feedback forms, and candidates’ progress inside and outside programs, drafting progress reports.
Community Management Build & manage relationships with Pakistan Foundry to understand their needs and build out supportDesign & deliver our Pakistan Foundry engagement and communications initiatives e.
g. community newsletters, communications, eventsSupport the design & delivery of opportunities that support Pakistan Foundry beyond the program year e.
g., access to mentors, experts, training, tools, fundingSupport the design & delivery of opportunities that connections Pakistan Foundry to each other and with the alumni across other Acumen regionsWork in collaboration with Acumen Academy’s global community team
Marketing and Communications Work closely with the community to collect engaging stories and content pieces that profile the Foundry members in Pakistan and can be shared via newsletters, blogs, emails, social media and digital marketing campaignsSupport the design & delivery of a range of online and in-person events - for potential candidates, online course-takers, workshop attendeesWork in collaboration with Acumen’s global marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and visual branding
Qualifications
Candidates interested in the Fellows Program Associate role should have a deep motivation to contribute to Acumen’s mission of solving the toughest problems of poverty, and a passion for leadership development.
We are looking for someone with :
3 -5 years of work experience in a related field (preferably in education, training, and / or leadership development), and of working in Pakistan
Familiarity and exposure to the field of social enterprise and poverty alleviation is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a good command of English and Urdu languages.
Prior work experience in a fast-paced environment, with a demonstrated ability to work quickly and efficiently against tight deadlines
Proficiency in using portions of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) and / or with Canva
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, web-based software platforms (e.g., Google) and virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom)
Experience in using online communication tools, such as HubSpot, to manage social media
An undergraduate / bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., education, psychology etc.) is preferred
