The role requires the candidate to possess the following skill sets
Understand key technologies of ODM developments & know-how on Mechatronics
Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirement.
Work on supplier Audits on ODM Supplier.
Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP).
Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues.
Assisting with performing FAI inspections (First Article Inspections) with both functional and visual inspections.
Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issue.
Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
Assist with monitoring and reporting on supplier product quality and performance understanding any commercial issues and impacts.
Strong capabilities in New product development processes
Strong diagnosis and problem-solving skills
Good network with external labs and ease investigations
Good knowledge and experience in supplier quality assurance
Should have good knowledge and experience in PPAP, FMEA, Process capability, Control plan, 8D and other relevant problem-solving tools
Good knowledge in QMS and other engineering standards like ASTM, IS, etc.,
Should possess good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Work experience in global environment would be advantageous
Key Areas of Responsibility
Solid understanding of Electronics Quality and reliability concepts, PCBA Assembly, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations
Experience in printed circuit assembly manufacturing processes & Surface mount technology process knowledge
Develops, co-ordinates in collaboration with cross-functional teams for technical reliability studies and design of experiments (DOE), reliability modeling, predictions and allocations.
Actively Engage with Design engineering from early design phase and provide expert recommendation in during design especially on Test Coverage, Reliability test requirement
Effective & Active engagement in DFM manufacturing feasibility reviews working with Engineering and supplier as part of the new parts development and drive proactive actions
Assist with taking responsibility for supplier quality performance of the EMS / ODM suppliers assigned
Coordinate problem diagnosis through external lab where applicable to support root cause analysis
Conduct detailed process audits at supplier place, identify potential risks and drive mitigation for the identified risks
Timely resolution of parts quality issues reported anywhere in the NCR supply chain related to assigned suppliers
Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are taken timely to address any quality issues identified with the Supplier processes and ensure updates on progress to all the key stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement of supplier parts quality performance of all the assigned suppliers
Plan and conduct parts quality verification audits at supplier places and report audit feedback timely
Effectively conduct Assessments of new and existing suppliers
Proven experience in manufacturing and Quality Control
Experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts.
Project management experience and a deep understanding of problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical analytical tools
Verifies material conformance to specifications. Interprets company and industrial specifications.
Gathers and maintains specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures and processes used in the company
Execute the annual audit plan, train internal audit team members, perform necessary duties and provide ongoing communication / reporting of results.
Monitoring Internal and External Customer complaint, resolutions and Failure analysis.
Regularly prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations to concern department / supplier.
Participate in quality reporting and management review process, Monitor the Periodic Review Matrix to ensure repetitive quality requirements are met, manage quality metrics, present findings and recommendations to the management review team
Should have good communication skills with an ability to explain complex problems to a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences
