Provides day-to-day QHSSE advice and active assistance within the Business Unit, department, vessel and / or project. Ensures that good standards and practices are identified, developed, implemented and adhered to.
This role will be office based, but with frequent travel to sites and projects both nationally and internationally.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the development of appropriate systems, processes and procedures to ensure safe and effective systems of work.
Ensure legal, regulatory and corporate requirements for QHSSE management are met and that the validity of the independent third party IMS certification to the ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001standards is retained
Ensure that all personnel are fully aware of and understand Client and Business Unit QHSSE policies and procedures.
Provide support on the promotion of good practice and provide timely QHSSE guidance and advice to help ensure compliance to requirements.
Collect and analyses appropriate data to demonstrate continuing suitability and effectiveness of the Business Unit management system, reporting results to the Country Manager to identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement and the need for change.
Support the development and implementation of project HSSE objectives and targets in line with the Business Unit improvement plan.
Supports the incident investigation process
Helps to ensure an effective risk management process is implemented to help ensure risks associated are As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
Prepare reports, newsletters, alerts etc. for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure timely / effective circulation and understanding of QHSSE related material.
Undertake frequent site visits and inspections to ensure effective monitoring of activities and encouraging and maintaining safe behaviors.
Provide QHSSE guidance and support for staff preparing proposal and project documents and assist with other Ad Hoc requirements for documentation and questionnaires.
Science Graduate (BSc) or Associate Engineer (DAE).
NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a QHSSE operational support role with relevant skills and experience within an Offshore and Nearshore safety construction, coupled together with a good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
