About the Department

In Sales, in close collaboration with other internal stakeholders, we are accountable for generating product revenue in line with the Novo Nordisk Way.

We build effective relationships and build synergies that helps Novo Nordisk’s solutions for customers. We strive to achieve progressive goals in line with Novo Nordisk’s strategy and are accountable for results, whether individual or team.

We focus on strengthening Novo Nordisk’s leadership in all product areas.

We are located in Karachi, office of more than 260 engaged people all helping our affiliate with issues related to sales, Marketing, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, HR, Finance, IT and Legal.

The sales department consists of 80% of the organization and have diverse professionals helping the patients and the Health Care Practitioner.

The Position

As a leader of your territory, you will be responsible for design, development, and implementation of the business plan for your geographical area to ensure company objectives are achieved.

You will measure, track, evaluate and present key metrics : prescription depth and breadth planning and reporting; effort review and budget management including return on investment.

You are expected to demonstrate a high level of understanding of customer needs, anticipate and adapt action plans to maximise opportunities and address challenges, excelling in making things happen through diligent and timely follow-up.

This position is based in Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan

Specific duties include, but not limited to :

  • Assist in organizing product training programmes for field personnel of our distributors in collaboration with other functions, to build consolidate, further strengthen our rapport with our customers including health professionals, patients, and public bodies and ensure that all promotional activities and transactions reflect and are in consonance with Novo Nordisk Way.
  • You are expected to contribute to the national business plan by achieving sales goals through implementation of marketing and sales strategies aimed at effectively selling and promoting Novo Nordisk product(s) to health care practitioners.
  • Work across different external stakeholders including but not limited to physicians, pharmacists, and hospital management.
  • The role will require you to take an entrepreneurial approach and you will be expected to operate with a high level of freedom.

  • You will be handling direct sales of our products not distributed by our distributors. You are accountable to prepare sales strategies, setting objectives for assigned territory, to achieve challenging ambitious sales targets in consonance with corporate objectives and to make regular and periodic visits to all customers as listed for the assigned sales territory.
  • You will submit regular required reports on the activities conducted joint calls and competitors’ activities as specified.
  • Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ experience of Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing experience.
  • Graduate / Bachelor’s degree preferably in Pharmacy / Life Science.
  • The position requires a person who has strong communication skills.
  • You need to be proficient in English, Urdu and your expertise in local languages would be an advantage.
  • The position requires a person who is to a high degree self-driven with a desire to influence.
