We are looking for a highly talented Head of Legal to join our growing team in Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have a track record as a significant individual contributor as well as a strong team player comfortable working as a leader, supporting a team, and working closely with the management teams to drive strategic initiatives forward across the region.
Support our businesses with legal advice on a broad range of operational and business matters spanning intellectual property, employment, privacy, competition, and consumer law.
Advise, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts with third parties such as marketing partners, suppliers, and restaurants.
Manage litigation and investigations that may arise from time to time.
Manage the corporate affairs of foodpanda by providing sound advice on day-to-day operations, working with external law firms, implementing corporate governance standards, maintaining legal records, and assisting with legal disputes.
Assist the regulatory and public affairs team by providing strategic policy advice on administrative and legislative developments and evaluating the legal impact of regulatory and legislative developments that may affect foodpanda’s business.
Represent foodpanda from time to time in meetings / events with policymakers, local government representatives, and other external stakeholders.
Craft corporate documents, comments, and communications on behalf of foodpanda.
Assess potential violations or exposures of foodpanda against local regulations and provide realistic strategies and solutions to address such.
Bachelors / Masters in Law with at least 10 years of work experience, with a focus on managing government relations, advocacy work and / or general corporate matters.
Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up / technology environments will be an advantage.
Commercially astute, highly driven and pragmatic, with strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
A people person - confident and independent but approachable and engaging.
