The Role : Associate Director

The Location : Hyderabad / Islamabad / Ahmedabad

The Team :

Key Developments & Events are a part of the Documents & Translations domain on Data, Technology & Innovation vertical at S&P Global.

The Key Developments & Events department is responsible for transforming raw information into usable intelligence that related to material events or corporate activities that occur either in the present or future.

The Impact :

The Key Developments & Events AD will be responsible for driving operations across multiple global locations (175+ head count) and develop operational strategies to optimize business performance, develop top talent, enforce business governance policies and identify appropriate tech / automation / lean solutions to manager operations at scale with limited incremental cost additions.

He / she will also support the Operations lead in supporting and executing on future strategies to expand Key Developments & Events platforms to new clients across the enterprise.

  • Responsibilities :

  • Manages multiple operations support teams / groups across different sites for a range of data / content management activities.
  • Manages multiple operational or project teams across different sites in planning and implementing process and operational changes across different teams.
  • Inventories critical business processes, and implements internal controls required to support business and regulatory requirements.
  • Periodically reviews key productivity and business metrics, and proactively identifies and addresses performance gaps.
  • Works with senior leadership team to make timely decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
  • Align the office work culture with S&P Global’s vision / mission / values.
  • Be able to scale up operations needs to meet the fast and continuously growing business requirements through effectively planning and execution.
  • Be able to extend jurisdiction to other office locations if and when required.
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements as needed.
  • Oversee procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Review financial information and meet operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Manage relationships / agreements with internal stakeholders and external partners / vendors.
  • Oversee people processes to ensure top talent is developed and retained.
  • Ensure that the department processes are run in conformity with established compliance and privacy regulations.

  • Support senior leaders to grow operations to cater to evolving business needs.
  • Constantly review external industry trends to identify evolving tech that can optimize business performance.

    What We’re Looking For :

    Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Background in technology or data science preferred
  • Proven experience as a Senior Operations Manager or equivalent / higher position in a data or technology company.
  • Proven record of excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data visualization and analysis tools like Power BI, Tableau etc.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office apps and working knowledge of SQL.
  • Exposure to data science, machine learning, and other emerging tech would be preferred.
