The overall management of Engineering Function & Technical Stores’ Inventory to ensure equipment reliability, production compliance & optimal equipment efficiency, with the aid of the Maintenance Leads & Artisans across all shifts and Technical Store staff.
Lead the Engineering team by developing multi-skilled workforce and build upon encouraging culture for team performance.
Carry out Plant maintenance activities, in accordance to the master maintenance plan and AMENA M&R road map. Carry out PEMM assessment at site and modify maintenance process in the light of updated PEMM matrix.
Drive and Steer the Factory Capex Projects relavant to Equipment Installation and enhancement of facilities.
Drive and Lead the Installation of new equipment for future expansion Production Lines and Future Warehouses in coordination with Region & Sector Engineering and planning / finance teams.
Implement PI maintenance standard on Rental Cold Stores & assist their workforce in its execution.
Plan and execute annual equipment turn around & intermittent shutdowns.
Update & develop the maintenance plan in relation to new equipments.
Ensure history records are developed and maintained for every equipment on regular basis in addition to all the engineering related data which may include utility, breakdowns & OEM data, etc.
Regular logging & analysis of breakdowns & implementing improvements / CA identified
Preparation & presentation of Engineering function performance on monthly basis
Effective shift management by taking right decisions on time and visiting utility, production & other facilities.
Manage a technical stores inventory of PKR MM 400 .
Initiate productivity assignments like stores inventory optimization, identification & management of critical spares, etc.
Align the OEM parties for the service of major utility equipments like compressor, gensets, etc with cost effectiveness.
Develop engineering contractors to support plant maintenance and project activities.
Develop local vendors to support fabrication of parts locally.
Annual budgeting of Repair & Maintenance and Utility.
Monitoring & controlling an annual maintenance budget of around PKR MM 250
Ensuring that all Utilites Supplies (LPG, Diesel, Nitrogen etc) are available and maintaining their supply chain thus preventing any breakdown / Downtime because of their unavialblity.
Completion of jobs identified by HSE, Food Safety & Quality departments & maintains the facilities as per PI standards for these disciplines.
Supporting projects & sustainability managers in planning & commissioning phases.
Providing other general services required by administration, cold stores & warehouses, etc.
Keep a record of items / spares required (both in short & long terms) to support non stop production runs. Raise purchase requests accordingly & track the delivery status while helping out purchase department in any specification(s) or vendor(s) identification required.
Properly maintain engineering drawings & technical brochures.
Manage around 12 Artisans directly & 12 indirectly i.e. discipline personal protective equipment, leave planning and utilization of staff.
The total management of administration issues : leaves, overtime, duty roaster, safety inspections.
Target setting, Performance development reviews & arrangement of Trainings for all the sub ordinates.
Keep connection with Govt. utility & other concerned departments to be updated on expected changing’s & load shedding to mange accordingly.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience or B-Tech (Engineering) with 15 years of experience.
Minimum 3 years FMCG experience with 1-2 years in supervisory role.
Technical & General understanding of high-speed manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of industrial policies, programmes and regulatory requirements.
Safety Awareness : Ensure awareness to personal and other’s safety in area of responsibility.
Interpersonal Effectiveness (Competencies) strong communication skills, builds relationships, team leadership and alignment, has respect for others, drive for results, analytical thinking.
Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance software, should be skilled in writing reports and case studies.
Hands on experience in handling PLC’s, Process & Control instruments.
In depth knowledge of the Operation & Maintenance of Utility equipments i.e. Gas Generator, Boiler, Compressor, Chiller, LPG & Nitrogen handling stations & different type of pumps, should be able to drive out efficiency through optimised equipment performances.
Fully aware of the electrical distribution systems, H.T / L.T circuits, distribution boards, lighting schemes & electrical earthing networks, should be able to carry out maintenance through both in house and third party services.
Hands on experience of maintaining food processing equipments in a multinational company, should be able to follow and implement maintenance procedures.
In depth knowledge of packaging equipments in general, to extent of driving out the efficiencies by optimising maintenance schedules and realizing machine optimisations.
Have gone through the experience of implementing preventive maintenance programs and must have the skill to instigate predictive maintenance program through specialist service provider.
