About the Role : The successful candidate will deliver UI / UX design solutions to improve S&P's global workforce's user experience in various domains including but not limited to technology.

The candidate will partner with multiple stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities and pain points for improved user experiences.

The UI / UX lead will understand our users / business requirements and technical opportunities or limitations. In addition, they will work with the UX professionals in conceiving and conducting user research, workshops, focus group studies, interviews, and surveys and translating them into sitemaps, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups.

They will also participate in designing the overall functionality and iterate upon its design according to user-testing to provide a superior experience.

The role will report to the Digital Experience / UX Director, Digital Technology Services in the US, and will be a key driver in modernizing and innovating end-user experience across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with various groups within S&P Global to identify opportunities for improvements to user experience - both inside and outside of technology
  • Lead the creative design for a range of digital products, sites, campaigns, products
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver human-centered designs for existing and new digital products, most importantly our intranet and business services platforms.
  • Draft initial concepts and convey design ideas using journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and user stories to explain the user experience
  • Analyze user testing and feedback; iterate to enhance the experience
  • Conduct usability testing to validate content, UI, and interaction design decisions before launch and on an ongoing basis post-launch
  • Organize content, information architecture, and interactions based on business needs, editorial needs, and user needs
  • Be passionate about all things UI / UX and other areas of design and innovation.
  • Research and showcase knowledge in the industry's latest trends and technologies
  • Promotes collaboration, support, and inclusion within the team to support a positive work experience among all employees
  • Key Accountabilities

  • Design, drive and participate in technology-based solutions that improve the S&P end-user experience in measurable ways
  • Partner with stakeholders from across the business to review, analyze and improve processes related to employee productivity and capability
  • Partner with the business divisions, the DTS teams, and key vendors to provide design solutions to business problems that will include process definition, automation, software application development, mobile application development, and software integration
  • Work collaboratively with other platform leads, key stakeholders, and strategic vendors
  • Provide measurable improvements to the overall user experience of S&P's employees across divisions and systems
  • Stay informed of and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Professional Experience / Qualifications

    Advanced level in the English language with excellent communication skill

    Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in using UI / UX design best practices to design both technical and non-technical solutions

    Expertise in standard UX / UI software such as Adobe XD, InVision, Axure, Sketch, Miro, etc.

    Experience using Design Thinking methodologies to address both technical and non-technical user interface needs.

    Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and design holistic user experiences that meet client needs and vision

    Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and internal clients

    Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications

    Passionate about resolving user pain points through great design

    Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity

    Basic experience with software application design processes and deliverables

    Experience working with design systems and managing style guide

    Experience in creating and following re-usable design systems, including responsive design

    Practical understanding of the latest technologies used to build rich web, desktop, and mobile apps (HTML5, CSS, Javascript)

    A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a related field such as visual design, communications, computer science, or psychology.

    Experience working within or on behalf of a regulated environment (HR, Financial Services or Healthcare) is a plus.
