About the department

Medical Affairs is a part of Medical, Regulatory & Quality (MRQ) department, responsible for the medical and scientific dialogue that supports the appropriate use of innovative treatments including Novo Nordisk products.

Medical Affairs’ vision is to improve the lives of people with diabetes through credible medical and scientific dialogue and to ensure that Novo Nordisk’s activities are undertaken in an ethical and appropriately scientific manner, thereby safeguarding the trust and respect of health care professionals and patients.

Medical Affairs is divided into an office team of Medical Advisors and a field team of Regional Medical Advisors. If you are highly motivated with a focus on results and thrive in a busy environment this could be the job for you!

The Position

The successful candidate will be part of the field team reporting directly to Regional Medical Advisor Manager and will be based in Karachi.

As a Regional Medical Advisor, you will be an important medical and scientific resource externally as well as internally.

You will be driving and supporting scientific projects, such as advisory boards, publications and clinical activities; provide high quality medical guidance and education to cross-functional teams and external Health Care Professionals.

You will allocate 70% of your time to field based activities, while 30% of your time will be utilized undertaking office-based tasks.

You will have responsibility for building strong long-standing relationships with key stakeholders within the diabetes community with the aim of ensuring optimal delivery of scientific information to the Medical community, ultimately leading to better treatment for our patients with diabetes.

You will be expected to make an effective contribution to the Medical Affairs Team and to cross-functional project groups.

You will be required to take part in global projects and work with teams outside the Pakistan - hence travels within and outside of the Pakistan will be expected.


You hold a MBBS Degree from a highly reputable university with 2-3 years of experience in Medical department of any pharmaceutical company.

You have a strong proven performance achievement record. You should have a strong knowledge of Pakistan market, therapeutic areas, product & customer.

Knowledge on diabetes is preferred. You have strong interpersonal & communication skills and strong project management skills.

You are strong in your written and verbal communication in English. You are required to be an ambitious, a strong communicator and have high standards of quality and ethics.

Strong presentation and proven success of cross functional working will be essential.
