What will be keeping you busy?

In this particular role you will help design, execute and support the people strategy for a wide scope of our business areas.

  • This role will support the following vertical businesses (Ride Hailing, Food, Groceries, Bike) as well as our support functions (Finance, Legal, Corporate Affairs) by identifying and researching issues / challenges;
  • contributing information, analysis, and recommendations in line with Careem’s purpose, values and goals.

    You will support leaders by driving people engagement activities and act as counsel for our colleagues on people's matters / challenges to ensure that our teams are capable, engaged and fulfilled in their roles.

    This role reports to the Director of People Engagement and will require collaboration with colleagues within the business as well as the wider People team.

    You will be expected to :

  • Advise and guide our colleagues on all aspects of people policies and processes, e.g. performance processes, remote first principles, hiring and exit processes etc.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams in effectively managing their people in line with policy and procedure, to support development of high performing teams whilst managing business risk.
  • Work with leaders to monitor metrics by team and lead initiatives or interventions (on site or virtually) in order to develop and maintain strong culture and team engagement
  • Provide expertise in designing and delivering targeted solutions including strategic planning, change management, training and team building
  • Understand organization structures, the accountabilities of each role and provide guidance and input on org structures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition to support hiring process for the business and provide strong candidate experience
  • Collaborate with COE teams and People Operations to maintain accurate employee records
  • Contribute to workforce planning through analysis of workforce data, such as turnover, retention, new hires, productivity to inform the management team and provide progress data.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a people business partner in a rapidly growing environment
  • Strong desire to help others and intellectual curiosity about people and organization challenges
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently
  • Effective influencer, communication, and interpersonal skills; great listener
  • Analytically driven; fluent with data-driven analysis
  • Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment
  • Understanding of cultural norms, traditions, and working with diverse teams
  • Experience in helping organizations scale while maintaining core cultural values
