As a Solicitor in this motivated but highly collegiate team you will enjoy a wide variety of dispute resolution work. The team, ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners Directories in Dispute Resolution, High Net Worth Disputes and Agriculture, acts for businesses, landed estates, farms and private clients in relation to a wide range of contentious matters with a particular focus on agriculture, property, and contentious probate and other private client matters.
The team also regularly acts in commercial and regulatory matters as well as more esoteric areas of law when the need arises.
The range and quality of our caseload makes it an exceptional base to build a career in litigation. You will have your own caseload across the range of our specialism and the opportunity to support Partners and Associates on more complex and large-scale claims.
As you develop, if you wish to specialise more in one area, we will look to support that, but equally you could retain the broader spread if you prefer.
Beyond your caseload, we’ll expect you to get involved in a range of business development activities and play a full part as a member of a supportive team.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
We are looking for someone with very good academic achievement wishing to develop their career as a litigator and who also displays initiative, pragmatism, common sense and excellent client skills, who is looking to build a career and develop a reputation within this very strong, friendly and supportive team.
You do not need to have specific agricultural, regulatory or contentious probate experience throughout your period of recognised training.
We will train and develop your specialist expertise but we do expect you to have had a minimum of 6 months during your training contract in a solid litigation seat and any relevant experience particularly in private client litigation will be an advantage.
You may even have built several years of litigation experience and be looking for a new challenge, either as a solicitor or at the bar.
