The Opportunity

We are currently seeking outstanding candidates to join EY Ford Rhodes Lahore office as Senior Analyst in Strategy and Transactions service line.

Work in Strategy and Transactions involves a wide range of valuation, business modelling, due diligence, restructuring, M&A and other advisory projects, along with assisting in business development opportunities.

Primary responsibilities :

  • Undertake detailed financial modelling, financial analysis and apply a variety of valuation methodologies;
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the target business and its market; perform research and analysis of the target industry and of quoted companies operating in that sector.
  • Utilize resources, such as Capital IQ, Thomson ONE, Oxford Economics, BMI Research and others;
  • Assist in the preparation of client reports, information memoranda and other deliverables;
  • Assist in pitching to clients, including the preparation and presentation of proposals;
  • Network, build and maintain relationships with clients and within EY’s internal network.
  • Primary requirements :

  • A relevant university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a similar discipline from IBA / LUMS / Foreign University OR professional qualification(s) like CFA / ACCA / Part-qualified CA (article completed);
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience.
  • Good understanding of core valuation and financial modeling concepts;
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and a sound grasp of financial accounting;
  • The ability to demonstrate intellectual rigor and commercial awareness;
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Decent level of computer software application (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.) skills;
  • Fluency in English language, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to demonstrate decent report writing, communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ideally, you also have

  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability in using visualisation software and managing large data sets (PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau, Alteryx)
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry
