The Position :
We are looking to hire a SQA Analyst , with hands on experience and expertise in manual testing of enterprise applications, to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases.
The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team, located in Markham, Canada.
Required Skills & Experience :
University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in a software testing / quality assurance role, preferably working in an agile team. QA / testing experience, working on enterprise-level software solutions is required.
Good hands-on and expertise with SQL query language and relational databases.
Hands-on experience with integration testing, system testing, functional, and regression testing through the UI and the backend.
Must have knowledge of Test Management tools e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps / Microsoft Test Manager.
Experience in creating detailed and well-structured test plans, test cases and bug report.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A demonstrable understanding of which type of testing to employ at a given time, based on the context of the project and system under test, and QA best practices.
Strong problem solving, analysis, and learning skills.
Strong test documentation, management, execution and reporting skills.
Ability to take complete ownership of QA Process / Cycle and work directly with the offshore project team members on regular basis.
Must be a resourceful, proactive, self-starter, able to work alone and as a team player in a dynamic environment and with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to escalate issues to the relevant teams in a timely manner.
Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferably experience with any Test Automation tool or willingness to develop skills in this area.
