Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Regional Head of Education MESA and Head of ACCA Pakistan to develop education strategy for the market that is underpinned by ACCA’s 2025 strategy
  • Work with the accreditation team centrally and Business Development teams locally to review and monitor learning providers pass rates, and provide accreditation support, advice and guidance for learning providers seeking initial approval, looking to progress from gold to platinum or struggling to meet their pass rates and other educational targets
  • Provide advice and guidance to educational organisations wanting to obtain ACCA exemptions for their qualifications
  • Develop and deliver innovations to raise teaching standards with a view to improvement in the understanding and application of the contents covered in the syllabus of ACCA professional qualifications
  • Work with national and regional regulators to ensure that the various ACCA qualifications are recognised as appropriate on national and regional qualification frameworks
  • Work with the recognition team to support achievement and maintenance of Mutual Recognition Agreements in market with other professional bodies
  • Input to, and engagement with, initiatives from the PE and PQ teams in order to ensure that markets are well represented
  • Use customer and data insights to develop initiatives that address specific progression challenges
  • Work with teams to ensure stakeholder readiness for qualification changes
  • Internal relationship management with market head, regional head of education, Business Development teams, PQ and PE teams.
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant, or equivalent, and have substantial relevant work experience in development, promotion and delivery of accountancy training
  • Practical experience of leading projects, preferably within an educational or training environment
  • Possess an innovative and imaginative approach to education and teaching methodologies and issues
  • Ability to demonstrate well developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrate awareness of, and interest in, the changing environment of accountancy training and education worldwide
  • Strong understanding of professional education, preferably in accountancy and a very good understanding of stakeholder needs
  • A good technical understanding of ACCA’s qualifications
  • Substantial relevant work experience in the professional education industry
  • Experience of effective matrix, collaborative or partnership working
  • Good understanding of business and strong commercial awareness in profit making organisations
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with a focus on achieving results
