The Revenue Accounting Senior Manager will lead a team which ensures proper revenue recognition for software, SaaS, and services, as well as provide timely and accurate visibility into revenue.

Candidates for this position should be ambitious, outgoing and interested in learning one of the most complex areas of accounting.

The position offers high exposure to senior leaders.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary technical revenue accounting resource for the company
  • Research, resolve and document accounting issues that arise during each quarter in accordance with ASC 606
  • Own the monthly revenue accounting cycle, including oversight of the billing and collection teams
  • Review the most complex contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  • Partner with the Sales and Contracts departments to influence deal structures and provide education and training to the business on revenue accounting impacts
  • Own the creation and maintenance of revenue and collections related policies and procedures
  • Work directly with external auditors to provide appropriate documentation and explanations for revenue related audit requests
  • Integrate revenue operations of new businesses acquired
  • Provide coaching to the accountants on the team to improve their skills and overall performance of the team
  • Monitor accounting standards updates and oversee the adoption of new revenue related accounting standards
  • Develop and communicate revenue and collections KPIs

    What we're looking for

  • BS / BA in Accounting
  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience leading a team
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SaaS software revenue recognition experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
  • NetSuite and SalesForce experience a plus
