Job Description :

  • Onshore Treasury lead for Shell Pakistan Limited, responsible for all matters related to cash and banking (including borrowing, investment, FX, cash management and other banking facilities and products applicable to Shell Pakistan Limited).
  • This role combines 3 key focus areas of regulatory compliance, operational excellence and value addition. The position works very closely with the regional Treasury Centre (STCE) and the Treasury Bank Office (TBO).
  • Key Accountabilities :

  • Lead the cash planning for Shell Pakistan Limited, forecasting annual interest cost, bank charges and FX impact by modelling the business plan
  • Provide quarterly analyses on cash position and utilization; interest cost; and bank charges for reporting to Shell Pakistan Limited’s Board
  • Oversee the Investment Advisor’s activities in the investments of Shell Pakistan Limited’s retirement funds to ensure that the fund members’ value is maximized while adhering to risk parameters defined by the funds’ Board of Trustees as well as to all applicable local regulation
  • Quarterly reporting to the Board of Trustees on the Funds’ performance
  • Supervise operational activities of the onshore Treasury team (including issuance of instruments, guarantees, LCs and import contracts;
  • FX conversion and payments; daily fund transfers; and statutory payments) while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulation

  • Oversee activities of the TBO (including daily and short-term cash forecasting; bank account reconciliation; monthly General Ledger postings), ensuring quality and promptness of delivery through regular coaching and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure accuracy and promptness in own operational tasks including monthly accruals, collections estimates, SBP reporting (Statements A, B, C, D & E), stock report, core debtor pack etc.
  • Respond with appropriate solutions and advice to the business’ needs and queries pertaining to cash and banking
  • Identify and capture value opportunities with respect to optimizing Shell Pakistan Limited’s interest and FX exposure;
  • and minimizing banking costs

  • Ensure all daily funding and requirements of the company are met while implementing borrowing strategy to optimally
  • Qualification

  • Masters / ACCA / CA
  • Experience

  • 4 years of relevant experience
