Responsibilities

  • To provide specialist assessments of the emotional and psychological wellbeing needs of children who are Looked After within the school setting (with the specialist assessment of birth families and relationships)
  • To formulate and support the implementation of plans for therapeutic / psychological intervention based on appropriate conceptual frameworks.
  • Skills and Qualifications

    Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience of working therapeutically within a child-related specialism, such as in CAMHS and / or in a Looked After Children service.
  • Doctoral degree or equivalent accepted by the British Psychological Society as qualifying the person to work as a Registered Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Must be HCPC registered and eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist with the BPS
