Responsible to process daily transactions in a timely manner. Ensure compliance of all internal procedures and operational controls for risk management.

Responsible for the timely delivery and response of customer requests.


  • Create awareness and understanding of the Group’s and regulatory strategy and model to the relevant teams in Trade price verification unit.
  • Keep yourself updated with the Regulatory and Group policies related to Trade price verification.
  • Set internal standards and procedures for the bank in line with development of International Trade price verification.
  • Business

    Responsible to keep close and cordial relationship with customer / RM / Internal Units in order to facilitate solutions to customer’s inquiries / problems and / or tailoring required for any specific customer request.


  • Ensure the daily processing of Price verification is carried out properly in TBML PV system.
  • Escalate any issues to IT for resolution encountered in the system.
  • Ensure goods price verification is done as per DOI and SBP regulations
  • Ensure that EOD daily reconciliations are performed timely.
  • Reporting all suspicious transactions including transactions having Red-Flag alerts related to invoicing to AML approvers.
  • All task and assignments assigned by TL’s to be performed.
  • Ensure that the set productivity targets (efficiency, accuracy, etc.) and processing turnaround standards are achieved (within own area of responsibility).
  • Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the Company / Group.

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from team members and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
  • Responsibility to review team structure / capacity plans (Where applicable)
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives (Where applicable)
  • Risk Management

  • Understand Operational Risk Framework.
  • Responsible to identify potential risks in existing processes and escalate to your line manager.
  • Assist Line manager to develop required controls in the process to reduce Operational Losses / Potential Losses.
  • Governance

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
  • Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.

  • Lead the Trade Operations -Pakistan to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Assurance of regulatory compliance regulated by central bank.
  • Key Stakeholders

  • Ensure cordial relations with the business by timely execution of daily transactions as per agreed SLAs
  • Ensure timely Regulatory Reporting to SBP (If applicable)
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Trade Ops, Pakistan
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
