The Aga Khan University Medical College invites applications for the position of Manager Research, Emergency Medicine.
You will be responsible to :
assist Principle Investigator in submission of intramural and extramural grant application ensuring compliance of university and funding agencies’ policies
coordinate grant checklist process and liaise with various departments of AKU for checklist approval
ensure grant proposals and subcontracts’ timely renewal and completed activities’ orderly closeout
maintain record of all departmental grant awards, publications and research projects.
coordinate monthly Departmental Ethical Review Committee meetings
prepare annual research reports (BOT report, HEC report etc) as and when required
coordinate activities and monitor deliverables of assigned project
ensure timely and proper provision of necessary supplies as per the requirements of research projects and maintain proper records of the same
develop and monitor annual budget of all ongoing research grants
liaise with finance department for budgetary approval, invoice processing and payment related matters
liaise with funding agency for budgetary approval, invoices and payments
evaluate expenditure documents as per guidelines. Update PI of the grant on timely manner about financial status and other obligations of their grant
coordinate with Grant and Contracts Office for change in Employee FTEs percentage from / to different Grants on a monthly basis.
You should have :
MPH / M.Sc, Masters in Data sciences or any other equivalent degree
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience, including 2 to 3 years in a management capacity
Experience of managing teams and people
Prior experience of development, maintenance and analysis of large data set.
