This is a Head Office based position that will be reporting to Corporate Reporting & Consolidation Manager. The person will be mainly responsible for the following activities :

  • Demonstrates an understanding and the ability to explain the internal controls embedded within the various business streams as detailed in their respective E2Es.
  • This is to include ensuring that the respective level of risk identified within the Risk & Control Matrix is mitigated through documented compensating controls and / or newly identified key control activities.

  • Understanding of the principles of SODs to ensure effective controls. This includes monitoring of SODs at the time of role allocation and developing compensating controls that exhibit the SOD principles.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the on time completion of the self assessment ensuring the quality of responses / ratings that departments provide for each of their respective areas.
  • Pursue the development of effective and efficient controls via timely and effective formal communication with key stakeholders with respect to the resolution of internal control deficiencies.
  • Customer focus orientation via timely and effective problem resolution and identification of repetitive control issues. This role should provide additional perspective to ensure that control objectives remain relevant to the business while addressing identified risks in the various business processes.
  • Support Departments in the Elimination of Audit Issues and ensure that control deficiencies are resolved via collaboration with the appropriate internal stakeholders. Key Experiences :
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive within cross functional and matrix organizations
  • Prior experience in Finance & Control or Internal Control or Internal Audit
  • Experience within ERP environments to leverage the knowledge of integrated systems and the development and maintenance of an internal control framework
  • Project management and delivery skills
  • Convincing with impact skills Measurements / Performance Indicators :
  • Timely submission of Assessments & Review of E2E R&C Matrices
  • Alignment with Group Internal Control principles and directives and those defined by and market HoFC
  • Anticipate the needs of key stakeholders and provide efficient solutions in a timely manner
