The Regional Head of Business Services and Compliance will lead all business services in a region. The role holder will provide leadership and decision making around operational and compliance matters.

The job holder will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that requirements are understood and appropriate compliance regimes are in place and being actioned.

You will also ensure auditable outputs and processes are in place to demonstrate compliance. The role requires management of regional operational and capital budget to provide continuous business services throughout the respective region.

The role is based from our office in Lahore and will require regional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing operational and compliance risks across the region. Works closely with Directors and Market Heads in the region, who are accountable for effective management of all risks (of any nature) in their market .
  • Acts as risk co-ordinator on behalf of corporate headquarters, works collaboratively with the risk manager and promotes, facilitates and champions risk management in the region

  • Provides input to the development of compliance policies, develops underlying procedures and monitors their implementation for their area of responsibility within the organisation.
  • Leads the regional business services team in ensuring compliance with the relevant policies, procedures and standards across the region and proactively seek areas for improvement

  • Where applicable the position will hold Power Of Attorney to operate ACCA operations in a particular country along with Market Head.
  • Where ACCA operates through a subsidiary company in a market, the post-holder may be required to become a director of the subsidiary

  • Manage relationships with key internal customers and act as their business partner, while typically using business services teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • As a senior member of business services team the job holder will forge strong working relationships with market heads, portfolio heads, regional directors, etc.

    Ensure two-way flow of business services and market activities take place which will help determine appropriate levels of support to enable proactive planning for any future changes in requirements

  • Takes responsibility for providing particular aspects of the organisation's safety, health and environment service under guidance of senior colleagues.
  • Assures the system of prevention and recovery to deal with potential threats to legal entities within the region (BCP) is in place

  • Manages and delivers required outcomes for a portfolio of major projects in order to support the overall project management strategy.
  • Review business cases to ensure they match ACCA organisational objectives.Take a lead role in the setting up of new offices ensuring the agreed internal objectives, timelines and statutory requirements are met

  • Develops and / or delivers a plan and outcomes for an operational area with guidance from senior colleagues. The job holder will be accountable and responsible for leading implementation of the business services operational plan which will support ACCA’s strategy.
  • This will involve providing appropriate levels of assurance and reports against the required timeframe (monthly, quarterly and annually) including areas such as risk management, compliance, facilities management, safety, health and environment;

  • The job holder will provide financial management support to the the business services staff with responsibility for 3-
  • year planning for all business services budgets. This requires the position holder to manage the regional business services budget which includes both operational expenses and capital spending

  • Participates in developing policies for area of responsibility, creating underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation within the organisation
  • Takes responsibility for implementing and coordinating a performance management culture for a significant functional area of the organization
  • Takes responsibility for fulfilling business plans for a significant functional business area by effectively leading a large team based across different countries within the region
  • Align national offices strategy to ACCA's Property Asset Management including preparation of business case for office relocation / refurbishment, etc Manages and delivers required service levels for a portfolio of facilities services while reporting to more senior colleagues.
  • Ensure property databases are populated and timely execution of property events e.g. lease renewals, legal notifications etc.

    You will possess strong experience in compliance in any discipline and will have the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders within key business areas including Finance, I.

    T and Legal. It is also important for this role that you have experience working alone and acting on your own instinct where required.

    It will be important to have regional market knowledge in order to display credibility to stakeholders and be able to deal with issues effectively.
