ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Support the effective marketing focus (EMF2) process via solid business planning. This includes a combination of accurate forecasting and a process driven approach to sales & operational planning (S&OP) consistent with the company’s overall marketing strategy

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Manage the effectiveness of the S&OP process within Marketing specifically in the Demand Review & Pre-S&OP monthly meetings, in order to provide an accurate forecast which will become the base plan for the Supply Chain & Corporate Finance Department impacting on all production and financial planning and forecasting activities.
  • Take part in the bottom up demand review session with Trade team, pre-align Area forecasting with Finance, Trade & Ops and run the DRM session with cross functional stakeholders to reach alignment for NAA DRM & S&OP meetings.
  • Manage the forecasting processes, to improve forecast accuracy using available data and forecasting tool considering both internal inputs (Brand, TM&D and Activation) and external factors (Industry exchange, POS share etc).
  • Co-ordinate and drive the demand forecasting exercise as a key input to the annual Company Plan, incorporating the strategy output from the Marketing Strategy Objectives to produce the corporate and industry demand plan.
  • Coach, motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of direct report constantly, so that the direct report will continuously strive for higher work performance.
  • Exhibit leadership when engaging with key stakeholders through behaviors and attitudes which are in line with the Guiding Principles to support, encourage and drive efficiencies and a positive working culture which reinforces the winning mentality and the display of the right leadership.
  • Maintain direct liaison with Brand, TM&D and Supply Chain in the areas of forecasting to ensure the S&OP processes relating to forecasting is running efficiently and develop corrective / mitigating action where applicable.
  • Work closely with the Distribution Development and the Supply Planning team in the management of forecast consumption, rollover, and abnormal demand (where applicable).
  • Build and manage relationships within the department, and stakeholders from Supply Chain, Corporate Finance, Brand and TM&D to ensure compliance with the S&OP process relating to demand planning and ensuring the forecast output is consistently applied in all related areas.
  • Identify and develop improvement opportunities in current process to enhance the effectiveness of the demand planning process within the organization.
  • Continuously strive to improve current tools and methodologies to improve forecasting accuracy.

  • Do you have proven experience in Demand Planning from Marketing perspective?
  • Do have strong analytical skills?
  • ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE .

  • 5 years of work experience with prior demand planning experience.
  • Business planning acumen and ability to translate business information requirements to the source data requirements.
  • A strong analytical focus to leverage information to support the decision-making process within the business.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • High integrity and honesty.
  • Good communicator.
  • Competent spoken and written English
  • Project Management skills
  • Consumer marketing experience
  • Understanding of financial key performance indicators (profit, contribution, value of sales, cash flow)
  • Understanding of the Supply Chain process and the impact on the business advantageous
