Afiniti is seeking to hire an innovative and motivated individual, who under general direction can work with a high level of autonomy, uses knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to perform the necessary assessment, analysis and tasks related to specific regulations, industry standards and / or a customer’s unique requirements.
A qualified candidate will primarily be working on the security aspects of multiple technologies such as Privilege Access Management, End Point Protection like Antivirus, Patch Management, Mail Hygiene, Active Directory, Exchange, windows, Linux, databases, private & public Cloud Virtualisation Infrastructure, Network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls etc.
Work closely on security aspects of multiple technologies and methodologies as it relates to operating systems, databases, access controls, patch management, encryption, anti-virus, and vulnerability assessments etc.
to assist the Engineering and Compliance team with effective research, data gathering, analysis, metrics, reporting and communications.
Identify security prospects of multiple solutions that help keep the organization safe from threats.
Experience in building and maintaining security systems.
Provides direction to infrastructure, operations, data, and network teams throughout the implementation of security aspects in production, and beyond.
Maintains knowledge of engineering next-gen designs, security trends, threats, and attack techniques.
Builds and maintains effective relationships with management, peers, project managers, and internal customers.
Translate threat intelligence into actionable security across tools such as endpoint protection, Access management, patch management, firewall, IPS and malware detection across multiple security vendor platforms
Design and Review the architecture for Systems, Networks, DB etc
The ideal candidate will have
2 to 5 years of professional experience
Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, patch management, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of TCP / IP networking and major protocols such as : HTTP, SSL / TLS, DNS, SMTP
Keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, excellent problem solving skills
Must be self-motivated, flexible and able to multi-task, while responding to changing business needs to handle multiple work streams and support various team member collaborative projects to completion
Ability to effectively collaborate across teams
Fluency in English, written and spoken is a must
Excellent documentation skills
May be required to travel on need basis
Will be required to work in evening shift (5pm to 2 am)
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related discipline
CISSP or similar security related certification
In lieu of certifications, at least 2 years of information security experience in building and maintaining security systems.
