The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units.
Manage resources, schedules and financials. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. The Senior Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis.
Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
Managing the Project
Responsible for accomplishing the project objectives within the constraints of the project to deliver timely and within budget projects
Involved in planning, controlling and monitoring, and also managing and directing the assigned project resources to meet project objectives
Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, budgets, technical performance, etc.) to align the program outcomes with the reliability strategic plan and stakeholder expectations
Ensure control of projects dealing with conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies and change
Establish an ongoing method of reporting and sharing of program details effectively with Senior Executives and Operational team stakeholders
Proactively bring expertise and creative solutions to improving processes, team effectiveness, and productivity
Identify opportunities for automating processes, streamlining of systems and operations, and synergizing with peer teams to drive outstanding experiences
Coordinate and lead program initiatives with various stakeholders, including business analysts and technology subject matter experts
Establish strong feedback and continuous improvement loops with the teams to drive the right balance between financial outcomes, customer experience and team member success
Controls and monitor project scope, time and cost (Quality also) in managing competing project requirements to meet requirements within allocated time and cost
Examines the organizational culture and determine whether project is recognized as a valid role with accountability and authority for managing the project
Metrics data & Reporting
Collect metrics data such as baseline, actual value of cost, schedule, work in progress and work completed to the stakeholders / management for project progress and other specific information to stakeholders
Communication on standards, best practices, in terms of Policies, Procedures & guidelines.
Support the creation of project management best practices, tools, and ways to drive efficiency to reduce cost and add value.
Manage team effectively to ensure they are motivated and deliver business goals on time in a seamless manner.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications :
Bachelors in Computer Science Business Administration or related discipline
Knowledge of PRINCE2 or PMP is mandatory
Knowledge of Agile practices Good to have SAFe POPM or SAFe LPM
