We are looking for a Data Analyst to help drive a deep understanding of products and services, user acquisition & expansion, and success of Quixel’s products.
You will be required to have deep technical skills to complement your analytical experience and should be comfortable working with business partners to build out dashboards / scorecards to provide insights for better decisions and self-serve for smarter operations.
In this role, you will
Use data to deepen the organization’s understanding of our products, our users, andour business.
Develop a deep understanding of complex, and sometimes ambiguous busines sproblems, and provide answers to them by converting raw data into meaningful,actionable insights.
Own objective evaluation of product health and all content / feature releases, throughKPI reports, and feature / event analysis.
Prepare periodic, and ad-hoc business reports for individual stakeholders, board presentations, and company-wide distribution.
Engage with Marketing, Sales, Product, and business leaders to provide insights and guidance derived from quantitative study;
influence and analytically validate product assumptions and roadmap
Design, build and manage dashboards, scorecards, and other analytical services to monitor critical KPIs.
Collaborate with Engineering to drive key strategic initiatives for the improvement of the data and analytics infrastructure and perform extensive QA of available analytics data to ensure accuracy and integrity of reports.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or related area).
1-2 years of professional experience in a highly analytical, data-driven, fast-paced field.
Proficiency in SQL scripting using Postgresql & Hiveql to extract large sets of data and combining various data sources to extract insights.
Proficiency in Query optimization (including concepts of Views, Joins, CTE, Window functions and Query plans)
Understanding of ETL (Apache Hive), and BI flows and good knowledge of design thinking or other visualization concepts, techniques, and best practices.
Experience with any data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, QlikView etc.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities needed
Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities for both qualitative and quantitative analysis and a passion for extracting actionable insights from raw data
Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate the results of complex analyses
Nice to have skills
Knowledge and interest in the business fundamentals of the gaming, VFX, 3D, and computer graphics industries.
