You’ll work alongside the best and the brightest engineering talent in the industry. As a participant of the team, you’ll estimate engineering efforts, design your changes, implement and test your changes, push to live, and triage production issues.
You need to be collaborative, and curious as we build new experiences and improve existing products powering the world’s largest travel mobile apps at a scale only a few companies can match.
What you'll do :
Own the design, implementation and quality aspects of all the features being delivered that support key Expedia marketing initiatives.
Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs.
Clearly describe technical requirements and implementation details based on an understanding of business requirements
Provide and participate in code reviews to assess overcall code quality and flexibility, and the application of good object oriented programming techniques.
Drive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process within an agile development team.
Write automated unit, system and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines.
Work closely in a collaborative environment with other hardworking developers both local and in various other Expedia offices around the world to ensure code quality and appropriate testing to ensure excellent product quality.
Present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Actively mentor peers and other software engineers
Who you are- You'll fit if you have
BS / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
5+ years of experience working in native mobile application development
Experience writing in mobile native languages such as Swift for iOS
Knowledge of API service connection paradigms
Understanding of client / server architectures
Working experience integrating packages and libraries
Ability to translate business requirements into quantifiable development tasks to establish level of effort
Deep understanding of mobile development standard methodologies
A dedicated iOS engineer with experience seeking a variety of outstanding challenges.
Build to implement advanced design specifications and sophisticated behavioral interactions.
Passionate about Agile development principles including TDD, CI and automated testing.
Proficient in Objective-C, Swift and iOS development.
Excited to pick up, learn and run with new frameworks as they are released.
Love all aspects of application development, from brainstorming and design to implementation and launch.
