International Alert is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Africa programme - with a strong track record in NGO finance and experience of working with a range of donors, you will support a diverse team implementing peacebuilding projects across Africa.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the team’s financial and administrative systems and procedures are compliant with requirements of International Alert’s donors and of relevant laws.
We work with a diverse range of projects in highly challenging contexts, and you will be working particularly closely with our five country offices to enable Alert staff to deliver high quality work on the ground.

Essential qualifications include at least 2 years’ experience in managing and forecasting budgets that are donor compliant, and grants management.
We also require a demonstrated understanding of budgetary and operational best practice in relation to INGOs. Fluency in French, and an accountancy qualification or similar will be a big advantage for anyone applying.
