We are seeking to hire a / n Junior / Intermediate SQA Analyst . The role of the Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is to ensure that the software being produced by Charter is of the highest quality.
Daily responsibilities will focus on but are not limited to testing of Charter's flagship product, ASPEN, partnering with the Scrum team to ensure that requirements are met and test scenarios provide full coverage, documenting test cases and plans for testing, and participating in Scrum meetings.
The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Lahore office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
B.S. degree or higher in CIS / MIS, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
2-3 years of professional experience in testing Enterprise Software Applications / ERPs.
Solid experience in documenting test plans and cases for large scale business systems.
Solid experience and skills in test management, test execution, test documentation and reporting with full reproduction steps.
Proficient in testing approaches / techniques, and concepts.
Critical thinking, with the ability to ask pointed questions to better understand product needs.
Knowledge and experience of all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
Clear and concise verbal, written, and interpersonal skills including the ability to work in distributed teams.
Knowledge of defect management and related systems. Such as JIRA, TFS etc.
Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, agile environment.
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail with an ability to take work direction and communicate effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
Fluency in accounting concepts and terminology, including tax and legal reporting
Ability to query SQL Server and proficiency in T-SQL.
Understanding and demonstrated experience with automated testing, especially from the UI - using tools such as Selenium and / or Test Complete etc.
Test experience with rich desktop-based applications.
Collaborate with other members of the Scrum team, including Development and Product Owners
Actively participate in Scrum events and assist with points, refinement, and other facets of sprint planning
Document test plans and cases and work with BA's and Development to ensure tests provide full coverage
Respond with flexibility to changes in direction as per the guiding tenets of Agile
