Duties and Responsibilities :

Restoring Family Links (RFL) :

In close coordination with PRCS NHQ and ICRC :

  • Implement, supervise and monitor the PRCS RFL services in the province / area of responsibility.
  • Plan, organize and conduct RFL capacity building trainings / Workshops for volunteers and PHQ / districts staff.
  • Liaison and networking, with government and non-governmental organizations for the implementation of RFL services at provincial level
  • Maintain close cooperation and constant collaboration with the PRCS NHQ / ICRC.
  • Carry out RFL Awareness sessions.
  • Timely follow up of Tracing cases
  • Identify and collect tracing requests.
  • Red Cross Messages and Sallamats delivery and collect replies.
  • Maintaining a regular overview and analysis of the RFL needs in Province; suggest possible solutions and approaches.
  • Prepare regular, timely and accurate progress reports e.g Monthly Narrative, Financial & filed monitoring reports.
  • Conduct RFL activities in case of any Disaster, Armed conflict within his respective areas of duty, conduct RFL Rapid assessment, deployment of RFL team in the field to overcome RFL needs / response during and after the disaster / emergencies.
  • Management :

  • Provide coaching and supervision whenever needed to the PRCS staff (DM, DMO) and volunteers involved in the implementation of RFL activities.
  • Setting priorities and deadlines, organizing the work, assigning tasks and responsibilities, monitoring achievements and performances.
  • Keeping PRCS superiors duly and timely informed of the activities or / and any operational development.
  • Ensure that the activities are carried out in line with the allocated budget and timelines.

  • Keeping accurate records of all RFL activities carried out (RFL awareness session, field / monitoring reports, minutes of meeting, training reports, tracing cases, Sallamats and Red Cross Messages);
  • Timely share the RFL cases follow ups, reports, minutes of meeting
  • Participating in the RFL coordination and planning meetings and propose changes for improvements if needed
  • External Relations :

  • Identifying and maintaining contacts with relevant stakeholders in the field of RFL and ensuring necessary exchange of information and coordination with all relevant stakeholder in the field of RFL.
  • Build and maintain contacts and represent the PRCS with relevant authorities, explain RFL activities in the region and provide necessary information when needed.
  • Minimum required knowledge & experience :

  • Masters / 16 years of education in social sciences
  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience.
  • Experience in Programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Ability to work in a complex situations and capable of managing team work during emergencies responses
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Urdu
  • Good computer skills
  • Good knowledge of the geographical and social setting of Punjab province.
  • Good communication skills
