JOb Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible to assist Site Project Director (SPD) and Deputy Director (DD) for immunization related activities, including managing and providing technical support to the program team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure implementation of projects in line with organizational and donor policies as applicable.
  • Arrange immunization related activities, including camps, campaigns, regular activities and others.
  • Adhere to regulatory reporting guidelines and filing deadlines
  • Create and track project timelines, plan for an effective implementation of SOPs and guidelines, and an efficient monitoring system.
  • Manage the ongoing review of materials and communication tools.
  • Oversee documentation and internal and external reporting.
  • Attend weekly meetings to report progress and challenges
  • Direct the project team with support from Site Project Director (SPD) and other core team members.
  • Supervise, manage, and mentor project staff.
  • Assist SPD in managing of the budget efficiently.
  • Coordinate, review and update existing policies and procedures.
  • Conduct field visits to assess challenges and facilitate viable implementation.
  • Conduct statistical data analysis to help plan project’s strategic direction and other decision-making.
  • Perform regular project monitoring and evaluation functions, identify implementation difficulties and operational and strategic issues and recommend appropriate solutions or course of action.
  • Demonstrate openness to criticism from a supervisor and / or junior team member(s).
  • Facilitating and encouraging open communication and motivation in the team.
  • Empowering team members to make informed and transparent decision making.
  • Contribute towards data analysis, report and manuscript writing.
  • Represent the project at related regional and international meetings as needed.
  • Develop and present project progress and learnings at relevant meetings.
  • Establish and sustain effective relationships with collaborators, stakeholders, and partners to assure open communication and alignment of all resources and efforts.
  • Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned.
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

    Required Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Science, Epidemiology, International Development, or other related fields.
  • Required Experience

  • At least 5 years.
  • Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects independently and believe in teamwork.
  • Good leadership qualities to lead / supervise / develop a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with Stata or other statistical software.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge and experience in project / program management, and immunizations
  • Available for local travel up to 50% as needed.
  • An effective communicator.
  • Proficient in inclusive planning, budgeting, and participatory management skills, including excellent analysis, drafting, and report writing skills.
  • Strong administrative skills and self-motivation with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
