About the Job :
As the Annotation Manager, you will manage a team of 50+ data analysts, who work on customer facing data products and also analyse / annotate data for internal usage.
You will be focused on supporting our customers to identify and mitigate risk better, 24 / 7 / 365.
You will be responsible for owning and refining operational processes, creating and implementing operational strategies, and driving the innovation that will not only determine the continued success of our current Safety products, but will also lay the blueprint for the future.
The Annotation Manager role demands a self starting, challenge-seeking problem solver. We’re looking for someone who is process-
driven, detail-oriented, and organized, but also excited to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. The role will require split time working hours to ensure smooth collaboration with a global team.
Bachelors. 3 - 4 years of relevant management experience (20+ team members).
Masters in Management / MBA would be a plus.
The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in a fast-paced work environment and strong analytical ability.
Experience solving complex problems, exercising good judgement in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team.
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships, lead a team, manage employees, and create a hard-working but fun workplace
Proven to be self-motivated, self-directed, and eager to take ownership of tasks to ensure solution.
Black belt in crisis management, conflict resolution and problem-solving.
Comfortable learning and using new software tools and deep diving into our data lake.
Build and staff the operations, manage scheduling, and general administration of our annotation team. Create a fun, inclusive, and safe work culture.
We operate 24 / 7 / 365, involving multiple tools and stakeholders. Nature of work requires proactively moving things fast and well.
We are continuously striving to add to our value proposition and innovate . This role will require extensive collaboration with RnD Engineers working on data problems for which the team annotates data.
Create new processes and constantly optimize existing ones based on data.
This role will have ownership over areas including managing a large and diverse team of varying backgrounds and skill sets, overseeing our daily operations, hiring, training, coordination with Workplace, IT, HR and Recruitment.
Ability to learn new skills and grow with the role. We plan to expand the type of data analysis / annotations we do and this role will be charged with supporting and overseeing additional operational processes and projects as and when needed.
