Business customers have different and more complex needs than the traditional Amazon customer base.

The Amazon Business Buying Experience (ABBX) team strives to deliver the best buying experience for millions of business customers, big and small, in all phases of their buying journey ranging from discovery, evaluation, and post purchase on desktop and mobile devices.

Our user experience research shows that business customers shop differently from consumers. Additionally, enterprise customers may want to restrict the products that their employees can buy on Amazon.

com. There are other elements associated with selling to businesses, including the need to support purchase groups, invoices, and integration with customers' procurement systems.

We are innovating by building features focused on business shoppers (e.g. repeat purchases, search and personalization for businesses) or extending the current experience to include business requirements (e.

g. analytics to provide data for businesses to help switch from their existing procurement pipelines to Amazon Business (AB)).

We need to reimagine the critical ingresses for the business customer like the Bus and Navigation (Nav) for products to incorporate business user requirements specific to their role and organization requirements, while maintaining tight latency requirements.

We are currently exploring options to use Machine Learning to provide an enhanced buying experience for AB Customers. But it is still Day 1 for us as we explore the various facets of purchasing behavior of businesses.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr TPM) for AB Detail Page Experience (DPX) Team within Amazon Business.

As a Sr TPM in this space, you will have to navigate a space with significant ambiguity and large number of internal and external stakeholders like - AB marketing, AB guided buying, Business Prime, Account Management, Ads, Personalization.

Also, the candidate should have strong technical acumen and judgement as we need to interact and collaborate with our counterparts in the Retail / Consumer domain, as we carefully consider leveraging the existing Retail platforms / solutions vs building new.

The candidate also needs to have strong program management and execution skills to successfully drive complex cross-team programs, along with excellent communication to provide visibility, call out risks proactively and seek leadership intervention as necessary.

Also, as a Sr TPM, the candidate should be able to come up with new ideas and provide significant inputs into shaping the long-term product and technical strategy of the teams.

The candidate should be a strong individual contributor who can collaborate with the engineers internally and externally to come up with cross-functional technical design and solutions and get alignment across teams and senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with technical product managers, software development managers, software developers / engineers and business leaders across teams to drive and deliver complex high impact initiatives.
  • Define a high bar of process excellence and influence teams to adhere to the same.
  • Plan, Monitor and track project deliverables and success metrics, identify risks and explore mitigation plans proactively
  • Provide visibility to senior leadership and key stakeholders through clear, concise communication and seek out timely intervention , as needed
  • Ability to influence engineers and managers across organizations to drive consensus and alignment for key technical decisions on design and architecture.
