The Role : Assistant Manager (Data Management)

Grade 9A

The Location : India / Pakistan

The Team : The position is in the Data Management organization for Bank Rates Content team in the Industry, Assets & Corporate Data (IACD) domain within S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Bank Rates collects rate data for deposit, consumer loan and mortgage products from US financial institutions which is published via various MI products like desktop, screener, etc.

The Impact : The FTE will be responsible for working effectively and constructively with a diverse group of data operations, product management, commercial and technology teams supporting the integration of the Ratewatch, expanding our tools into automation, and future product expansions.

  • Responsibilities :

  • Provides advanced data / operations support for all rates products.
  • Manages the data management team across multiple projects going on and delegates responsibilities accordingly.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of bank rates offerings and the workflow and applications in adherence with guidelines and policies.
  • Participates in release testing and workflow enhancements.

  • Writing functional requirements for Content tools & solutions (Applications, loaders, aggregates, data structures etc.
  • collaboratively working with the technology team to implement the requirements.

  • Work with multiple teams, gather and refine requirements, create timely & accurate user stories & Features, maintain backlog for content user stories and bugs, groom user stories and discuss them with stakeholders for prioritization;
  • provide timely and adequate support to developers and QAs with requirements and testing.

  • Learn and explore new technologies to help expand the dataset with big data and automation solutions.
  • What We’re Looking For : .
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor / Master’s degree preferably in Economics, Business, Finance, IT, or related field.
  • Have at least 3 years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum or SAFe process. Experience of working in Agile would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient knowledge of relational database, Data Management System (DMS).
  • Proficient knowledge in SQL & MS Office.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet critical deadlines.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools is nice to have.
  • Exposure of Lean and automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-oriented mindset.
  • Good oral and written communication skills is required for the position.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
