Job Description : KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Product Formulation & Applications
Formulate, screening & application testing of new products in according to local business case
Modify existing products to improve on cost & performance
Conduct studies on long-term stability of products
Raw Material & PEHS
Evaluate alternative RM in accordance to global MRSL specifications & P-EHS guidelines
Sets specifications for new raw materials used in local formulations
FSC Production & Troubleshooting
Leads the scale up and introduction of new products together with the FSC production leader
Leads the lab batch testing & application evaluation during the transfer of Global products
To raise FG PDM of new products introduced into the FSC
Sets specifications for RM & locally developed FG in consultancy with R&T
Supports the Regional Marketing Manager in product cost calculations
Support QC to resolve any quality issue for locally made products
Support reprocessing options of off-spec materials
Design multivariate studies of different formulations of a particular product, minimizing the number of replicates while maximizing the amount of information obtained
Interaction with various internal technical stakeholders and external manufacturing units to formulate products and execution with mutual coordination
Ensure agreed results and timelines for the projects in pipeline are met
Prepare communication, internal reports and half yearly summaries on project activities and implementation.
Education : M.Tech / B Tech.
10 Years of experience in Textile Chemicals Formulation & Application.
Work experience in the area of PRE, FIN, DA is a must .
Working knowledge of Six Sigma / DOE is desirable
Know-how / skills :
Languages : English, Local language
Experienced in using MS Office
Math and statistical skills for complex experimental design and analysis
Negotiating and the ability to balance competing needs of product quality, ease of production, and cost
Ability to analyze experimental results, draw conclusions, and propose logical next steps to reach corporate goals
Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with other chemists and scientists, as well as nonscientists.
Ability to travel for training and support
Ability to work independently

Key functional interaction : TR, PEHS, QC, Sales, Manufacturing, FSC.
