Role Summary / Purpose :
O&M Advisory Manager will provide advisory support to the Customer to help Customer achieve reliable and efficient plant operation through Customer’s Operations and Maintenance teams.
Essential Responsibilities :
Advise and make recommendations to Customer concerning the requirements for operations and maintenance of the power plant in accordance with the plant design, the equipment manufacturers’ recommendations and the relevant Customer’s operating plans to achievereliable and efficient plant operation
Advise and make recommendations to Customer for prudent planning and execution of Routine and Planned Maintenance by the Customer’s Operations and Maintenance teams
Advise and make recommendations to Customer to implement maintenance strategy based on a Reliability Based Maintenance program to achieve reliable and economical plant operation
Advise and make recommendations to Customer to establish Inventory Management for critical spare parts utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and prudent management of the Spare Parts, Consumables and Materials
Recommend Facility modifications and upgrades to the Customer to enhance plant reliability and performance.
Co-ordinate with GE O&M Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, GE Engineering and other GE support functions to assist Customer in the resolution of issues relevant to plant operation and maintenance,
Advise and make recommendations to Customer for proper performance and recording of periodic maintenance checks and tests of the plant equipment in accordance with Customer’s requirements, equipment manufacturers’ recommendations and Contractor’s recommendations
Advise and make recommendations to the Customer on the performance and recording of periodic operational checks and tests of the plant equipment in accordance with Customer’s requirements, equipment manufacturers’ recommendations and Contractor’s recommendations
Advise and assist the Customer for the analysis of plant operating parameters to identify potential problems
Advise Customer on analysis of plant chemical reports and make recommendations for maintaining proper chemistry in the plant processes and systems
Assist and Advise Customer in root cause analysis for the technical events
Qualification & Experience :
Graduate Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls from an accredited College or University.
Minimum 10 years O&M experience on Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Power Plant with minimum 4 years in O&M management position
Proficiency with computer tools
Proficiency in written and spoken English
Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred

Prior customer interface experience with capability to build effective customer relationship
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organisation.
P&L management experience with regards to long term services contracts
Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
Ability to apply statistical methods for process improvement.
Ability and willingness to travel from time to time as required by the Business
