Under the overall guidance of Chief PMER and direct supervision of the Reports Specialist, the incumbent will contribute to strengthen evidence and result-

based monitoring & reporting at the Country Office. The incumbent will support quality assurance of implementation monitoring and reporting, including field monitoring and third party field monitoring, preparation of situation reports, donor reports, internal and external updates, annual reports and information management in support of the overall office humanitarian assistance and country programme in fulfillment of the rights of children and women.

How can you make a difference?

  • Support timely preparation of high quality donor reports by standardizing formats, contents and ensuring adherence to donor / UNICEF global standards and requirements / agreements.
  • Provide support in financial verification and quality assurance of reports. Coordination with programme sections for development of inputs followed by review and consolidation.

  • Support tracking of donor report timelines / analysis cube for scheduling reminders to sections, monthly reporting of Key Performance Indicators on reporting and monitoring activities to Country Management Team;
  • update and maintain programme and office specific donor reporting schedule / snapshot.

  • Support in compliance with all other reporting requirements of the office, including but not limited to the country office annual report, One UN reporting, results assessment module and briefing notes, amongst others.
  • Support in the production of humanitarian situation reports, donor appeals and updates related to the humanitarian assistance in the country in line with global standards and guidelines in coordination with field colleagues, cluster focal points, emergency unit and programme sections.
  • Provide support in monitoring implementation of UNICEF programmes by providing technical input to programme sections and field office.
  • Keep track of monitoring activities within the country office (both in Islamabad and in the field offices). Support third party field monitoring and ensure that quality standards are maintained, checklists and reporting templates are updated from time to time;
  • and  prepare summary report for the management containing the key issues identified by the field monitors and follow-up actions by the programme sections.

    Support the set-up and use of online programme monitoring and reporting systems.

    In case of emergency, support humanitarian performance monitoring (HPM) and update the Core Commitment for Children (CCC) monitoring and reporting templates and make sure that the high frequency CCC indicators are included in the field monitoring checklists and are reported on regular basis.

    Undertake field monitoring visits as and when required. Provide support to the field offices in monitoring related capacity building including training of third party field monitors on need basis.

    Prepare and updates database of CCC indicators and information material; ensure that timely information on progress and results is available by compiling, organizing, analyzing and preparing data for reports, programme planning, management, monitoring and evaluation purposes as needed.

    Prepare tables, graphs and other statistical data accordingly.

    Provide assistance for programmatic field monitoring and third party field monitoring. This entails undertaking visits where needed and coordination with focal to ensure compliance with minimum programmatic visit requirements.

    Duties also include compiling quarterly programmatic visit plans for Country and Field Offices.

    Support information and knowledge management related to humanitarian action by maintaining data archives of all reporting related documents etc.

  • Support in organizing Programme Coordination Group meetings followed by preparation of minutes and follow up on action points.
  • Support in organizing Mid and End Year Review meetings, followed by preparation of minutes and follow up on action points.
  • To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have

    Education :

    A university degree in social sciences, information systems, business administration, disaster and emergency management, or related area.

    Further education and training in a related discipline will be an asset.

    Experience :

  • 01-02 years of relevant professional work experience in result based programme management, reporting and monitoring in a related field.
  • Training / experience in humanitarian principles, CCC, and knowledge of Pakistan 's development and humanitarian context is desirable.
  • Experience of working at a UN Agency will be an asset.
  • Language :

  • Advanced command of written and verbal English is required . Knowledge of additional local language would be an asset.
