We are looking for an Account to join our Sales team in Karachi, Pakistan. If you are pro-active, self-driven, customer centric individual then this role is for you.

The Account Manager shall actively build strong relationships with customers, gain understanding of their business, deliver excellent customer service and maximize commercial opportunities.

This will include the proactive identification of new customers and the ongoing development of existing customer relationships with the objective to deliver volume and yield targets and grow Safmarine’s presence in the market.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the selling process to field based customers, including pricing and contract negotiations
  • Pro-actively search, qualify, develop and engage into new customer relationships
  • Identify account needs, opportunities and key buying factors for existing customers, and formalize those into account plans and strategies
  • Ensure full penetration into and mapping of customers organization
  • Seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction
  • Own the overall customer relationship for existing customers, as well as potential new customers
  • Establish strong, multi-level, win / win relationships with new and existing customers (including main decision makers and influencers)
  • Actively engage Customer Service into the customer relationship to ensure customers know relevant contact points in case of service failures
  • We are looking for

  • Over 2-3 years’ experience in customer facing roles
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • A positive, can do attitude
  • Fluent is spoken & written English
  • Proactive, self-starter who can work independently and within a close-knit team
  • Passionate with drive to continuously develop
  • Drive for Results - willing to work towards achieving shared goals & KPIs
  • An excellent team player
  • Willing to be the committed business partner for our customers
  • Analytical skills
  • Customer service experience within shipping and / or service industry is an
  • advantage
