To support Key Account Managers & Business Development Managers, ensuring they have as much customer facing time as possible.

The objective would be to promote additional sales from these customers by following up and offering value added services where feasible.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive telephone calls / sales enquiries
  • Determine customer requirements and liaise with sales team to act quickly in responding to their requests
  • Needs to build up the ability to take quoting and other decisions towards customer requests.
  • Understand all Selling Rate guidelines
  • Will be required to inquire within the DAMCO organization for rates on various services that may not be covered in any guidelines
  • Arranging Customer Visits (not as a general rule but when executives are travelling or outside the office as an example)
  • Strictly adhere to all Processes and Guidelines, particularly when it comes to quoting
  • In cases where portfolio of customers is assigned, the task is to service these customers from a commercial perspective only and sell new and additional as well as repeat business as much as possible
  • Take ownership of administrational duties
  • Assist in the relationship development of the assigned customers
  • Education :

    Graduation in any stream Mandatory

    Experience :

  • Experience in Logistics / Freight forwarding industry
  • Willingness to do tele-calling
  • Excellent Airfreight knowledge
  • Good analysis and judgment skills
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities in a fair and objective manner
  • Strong telephone and customer service skills
  • Ability to deal with customer requests in a quick and decisive manner
  • Good English communication skills (both oral & written)
  • Must be outgoing and easily able to build relationships at all levels
