Responsibilities

  • Monitor and address all incoming tickets and become the main help desk contact person.
  • Work with the global help desk to provide 24 / 5 (follow the sun) support
  • Determine users’ technical needs and provide them with appropriate solutions.
  • Install hardware, software and device drivers on standalone computers.
  • Manage software configurations to ensure that all networked computers can communicate effectively.
  • Test computers peripherals, hardware and software to ensure that they are working appropriately.
  • Install and configure monitors, keyboards and printers
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Act as a technical resource in order to assist users with resolving computer issues.
  • Train users on new software.
  • Explain the role of network applications and equipment to the end users.
  • Maintain documentation of technical maintenance procedures carried out.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in computer software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • 3+ years’ experience on current Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Understanding of IT principles and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
  • Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required.
