The position’s focus will be on dosing pumps and disinfection systems within water treatment, waste water treatment, chemical and industrial processes.

What is the job about?

As an Application Specialist, Dosing & Disinfection, you will be responsible for delivering the most relevant Dosing & Disinfection solutions for projects, increasing market share and leverage sales of D&D products, systems and services and to explore all relevant opportunities in order to strengthen Grundfos’ position in Pakistan.

Some of the position’s responsibilities are as follows :

  • Supporting the sales team by delivering needed solutions to existing customers and recognized projects and cooperate in a needed extent on agreeing commercial terms
  • Ensure strong interaction with the sales team and external customers and provide clarification on Non-Standard and Uncommon Products
  • Initial project evaluation, compliance with specifications and contract review.
  • Introduce new offerings and solutions in Dosing & Disinfection
  • Opportunity management and follow up
  • Supporting product management activities here including market intelligence, sales toolbox elements etc
  • Develop and maintain a healthy and a professional relationship with key stakeholders, e.g. vendors, customers, internal service providers, contractors, etc.
  • to ensure the timely and appropriate delivery of support.

  • Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with clients and facilitate technical and commercial meetings. Hereby also developing loyalty from existing customers, attracting new customers and building significant brand equity.
  • Monitor Industry / Sector development, technical know-how and competitor’s activities to keep abreast of the market changes to enable quick responses to business and profit opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor activity and information and make recommendations for changes at a strategic level.

  • Initiate or participate in relevant Business Development and Marketing activities targeted to secure business now and in the future and promote all Grundfos Dosing & Disinfection technologies
  • Participate in business development projects and drive activities in the segment to support the implementation of the business strategy.
  • Strategic market planning activities including definition of new products.
  • Drive activities related to internal and external competence building
  • Conduct trainings and seminars to relevant groups and use training to enable business growth. Represent market segment at various events such as exhibitions, customer events and seminars.
  • Develop training materials, explicit materials and tools to enhance application knowhow.
  • Support global and regional knowledge networks and the knowledge sharing process.
  • What do you need to apply?

  • Bachelor’s Degree graduate, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Exposure to the Pump Industry is preferable with experience in Dosing Pumps and Disinfection Systems in the following applications;
  • Water Treatment, Waste Water Treatment, Chemical processes and Industrial processes.

  • Must have good presentation and influencing / negotiation skills.
  • Able to critically analyze data and to propose solutions to problems.
  • Good interpersonal ability and networking skills. Should be able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to listen and demonstrate good command of English both verbal and written. Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the company and in the sales field.
  • Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable.
