This position is responsible for facilitating TNS in attaining its objectives with regards to academic excellence (effective teaching, effective learning) & professional development WITH the objective of capacity building and upholding the learning and development philosophy WITHIN the limitations of School Operations Manual, Company Policies and directives of the senior management.
Gather guidelines for Head Office Academics department and develop content accordingly.
Research various IB sources including library books and make content within the corporate guidelines.
Develop content specific activities and relevant schedules on the activities that need to be cascaded such as role play on parent teacher meetings.
Conduct coordination meetings with teachers to identify issues and to design support.
Present developed ideas to School Heads and get necessary approvals.
Cascade activities and gather feedback from heads.
Continuously monitor progress of IB policy and teachers in various programs.
Share reports and feedbacks with SH.
In conjunction with SH, identify training needs and evaluate instructional professional development training plans, formally and informally both.
Provide support, professional development, training and / or coaching to teachers within designated span of control.
Support teachers in effective lesson planning and curriculum implementation.
Monitor teaching staff daily via Class Room Observations (CRO) and copy checking to provide coaching and evolution of academic approaches.
Devise strategies to improve language and teaching skills of teachers, where applicable.
