Position Purpose & Summary :

As we prepare for growth in Pakistan, this position would support the leadership team in evaluating local business development initiatives and projects.

He / she would be involved in refining game plans and strategies, using systematic analysis and provide support in the internal project delivery process (PDP).

The incumbent is expected to establish a strong network in the industry and be able to collect information both internally and externally through various sources.

This role would also be expected to scan the local market on latest trends and developments and provide updates to the team, as well as identify and propose suitable opportunities for the business.

Using the data gathered, he / she would then be tasked to analyse, validate, build scenarios and financial models and present findings to the leadership team.

He / she would also be involved in reviewing and evaluating new business opportunities in Pakistan.

Principal Accountabilities :

40% Data collection and analysis :

  • Tap on industry network to collect and verify information from multiple sources
  • Complete detailed analysis assessment, competitor grids and build scenarios / financial models
  • Creating and presenting finding decks
  • Provide recommendations and proposals for issues related to the project
  • 40% Project management :

  • Facilitate internal & external project meetings, required approval reports, project charter, and commitment submission
  • Coordinate with internal resources / stakeholders and engage external resources as needed including potential partners, and professional service agencies
  • Work closely with commercial function to develop commercial cases
  • Work closely with FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) on projects / M&A target valuation and assumptions
  • 20% Conduct market scans and provide updates on latest industry trends and competitor movement. Share insights on potential opportunities and partnerships.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors’ Degree (Preferably in Business or Finance or similar field)
  • At least 8 years of experience in a business development / commercial role within the crush / oils / feed industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to connect macro insights into commercial strategies
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and ability to build scenarios / strategic game plans
  • Effective at conflict resolution and strong problem-solving skills
  • High self-awareness, EQ and candor
  • Other relevant information to the position :

    This position would be directly involved in our business expansion plans in Pakistan which is an exciting growth region.

    Successful incumbents would become part of the core team in our Pakistan business or can explore other commercial or business-

    development roles outside of CASC in Pakistan or in CASC businesses in other SEA geographies.
